Annual Report 2025

Choose Life Ghana Foundation - End of Year Update 2025. The Mental Game Retreat: we are already gearing towards the third edition in 2026.

Choose Life Ghana Foundation - End of Year Update Dear Members, Volunteers and Partners, Every year we prepare for our three major initiatives for community members:

● The Mental Game Retreat: we are already gearing towards the third edition in 2026.

● Our annual mini‑documentary release: we share stories that spark mental health conversations.

● Goal Line Gathering: a forum that brings players, coaches and allies together to talk openly about mental health.

These initiatives have run without external funding, and as always we have faced the usual financial hurdles. We are deeply grateful to our volunteers, partners, and the amazing team at Choose Life Ghana Foundation for brainstorming and working tirelessly to create impact despite the constraints.

Help us make the third mental Game Retreat a reality in 2026, donate now to keep the momentum going.

We are proud to present our 2025 report to our supporters, community and subscribers.

Our Annual Initiatives

MENTAL GAME RETREAT

The second edition of our annual mental Game Retreat left its mark, not just in the memories of those who attended but in the quiet inner shifts they carry back to their teams, families, and communities.

● A total of 18 footballers joined our week-long journey of mental training, emotional healing, and personal discovery.

● 13 participated online and 5 joined both online and residential in-person experience.

● Participants came from teams such as Okyeman Girls Football Academy, Socrates Ladies FC, Northern City Ladies, Rayon Sports FC (Kigali) and others.

Watch highlights of the second edition of the mental game retreat WOMEN IN FOOTBALL: Mental Game Retreat 2025

We want to scale the in‑person session. Your donation will fund travel, accommodation, and resources so more athletes can experience the transformative retreat firsthand in the 2026 edition.

MINI DOCUMENTARY
Healing in Half-time explores the quiet aftermath of a devastating accident involving the Lady Strikers football club, located in the Central Region of Ghana, Cape Coast. Through raw interviews, calm visuals and poetic reflection, the film reveals the trauma, resilience and unseen emotional battles the team faced with little to no professional mental health support. This is not just a story of survival, it is a call for support. Watch  Healing in half-time: the Lady Strikers after crash
Your donation helps us tell more stories and spark mental‑health conversations for African women footballers.

GOAL LINE GATHERING
We hosted two watch‑party discussions of our mini‑documentary Healing in Half‑Time creating a safe space to talk openly about the neglect of mental health in Ghana’s women’s football. Participants shared personal stories, dissected the challenges we face, and helped shape the next steps for our initiatives.
We want to keep these open forums alive bringing more players, coaches, and community members together to normalize mental‑health dialogue.
Your donation will fund venue hire, facilitation and resources so we can host more events and keep the conversation moving forward.
