The retreat had online and physical sessions to get the players ready and prepare them for the challenge ahead. The eight-day event had resource persons from different fields of life speaking to the players and taking them through their paces at the end of the 2023/24 season as they looked ahead to the new season.

Some of the topics treated included personal branding, leadership and communication skills, and a workshop on stress management, anxiety, and self-care among a host of others. The mental game retreat was supported by the Choose Life Ghana Foundation, a non-governmental organization mainly focused on addressing mental health issues among young people in Ghana.
